Local Lifestyle

Set back from the bustling downtown of Waco, Hidden Valley lives up to its name - secluded and a hidden gem in the area. Residents enjoy quiet, peaceful lives in a small, tight-knit, luxurious community with tree-lined streets and easy access to the fabulous restaurants of Waco.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

Hidden Valley may not have any restaurants of its own, but the amazing cuisine of Waco is just minutes away. Every Texan needs a favorite barbecue place, and Uncle Dan’s should be yours — nobody does brisket better. Try some pulled pork over a baked potato.
On the rare days that you’re not in the mood for barbecue, head to the Cotton Patch for some down-home dishes, like fried chicken, fried catfish, and chicken fried steak. Not everything is fried - you can also enjoy tomato soup, juicy steak, and Cajun-style seafood. For dessert, go to Churros Time for their fresh, cinnamon-covered churros with a variety of toppings.

Things to Do

Hidden Valley has plenty to keep you occupied nearby. The most obvious is Lake Waco, spanning eight thousand acres and offering fishing and boating. In the parks bordering the lake, residents make use of miles of hiking trails, beautiful picnic areas overlooking the water, and sit in on educational programs about local flora and fauna.
Waco Civic Theatre brings live stage performances to the area via the community theatre troupe. Past plays have included The Music Man, Seussical, and Little Women. Families will love visiting Blue Hills Ranch, where you can get hands-on with a variety of animals, take a safari to see some of their more exotic species, and even bottle-feed a giraffe. All visits have to be arranged in advance, but it’s well worth the effort.

Homes for sale in Hidden Valley are served by the Midway Independent School District, which is home to several highly-rated schools.
