Hidden Valley has plenty to keep you occupied nearby. The most obvious is Lake Waco, spanning eight thousand acres and offering fishing and boating. In the parks bordering the lake, residents make use of miles of hiking trails, beautiful picnic areas overlooking the water, and sit in on educational programs about local flora and fauna.

 

Waco Civic Theatre brings live stage performances to the area via the community theatre troupe. Past plays have included The Music Man, Seussical, and Little Women. Families will love visiting Blue Hills Ranch, where you can get hands-on with a variety of animals, take a safari to see some of their more exotic species, and even bottle-feed a giraffe. All visits have to be arranged in advance, but it’s well worth the effort.
